Trace Solutions is proud to have been named as one of the Sunday Times’ “Best Places to Work 2024” – the only company in our sector to be so accredited.

The awards survey accurately monitors employee engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort in the workplace, covering:

  • Reward and Recognition
  • Instilling Pride
  • Information Sharing
  • Empowerment
  • Wellbeing
  • Job Satisfaction

No fewer than 92% of Trace staff completed the survey, giving the company an average score of 79% across all six categories.

Business Editor of the Sunday Times, Jim Armitage, said: “Happy staff make for happy customers and strong, long-lived businesses. A contented workforce is [also] less likely to leave, creating a recruitment headache in these days of painful skills shortages”.

Lord Mark Price, founder of WorkL (and former Managing Director of Waitrose and Deputy Chairman of the John Lewis Partnership) commented: “There is a clear correlation between companies that have happy and engaged workforces and those that get extra from their people. These companies have lower staff turnover and lower sick absence.”

“Companies with higher scores have higher commercial performance, greater productivity and greater profitability.”

The Sunday Times Best Places to Work awards use 26 questions from WorkL’s employee engagement survey, developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics and other independent parties to most accurately monitor employee engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort in the workplace.
