Will our next release run on your current Microsoft software?

sunset before the next mojo release

Microsoft regularly announce ‘end of life’ dates for their software. Once those dates are passed – sometimes as much as ten years after the product was initially released – Microsoft cease to issue routine security updates.

This has a direct effect on your use of our software.

As we cannot support our software if it is running on obsolete Microsoft platforms, we must cease support for those platforms too.

However, as we issue a new release every six months, and continue to support the previous two point releases, our ‘end of life’ schedule is three releases or 18 months prior to Microsoft’s own dates.

If that all sounds a bit complicated, let’s instead spell out the practical implications:

General Release 6.30.00 was released in December 2021. This was the last release level where support is available for:

  • Windows Server 2012
  • Windows Server 2012R2

General Release 6.50.00 is due for release in November 2022. This will be the last release with support for SQL Server 2014.

General Release 6.60.00 is due for release in May 2023. This will therefore not be supported on SQL Server 2014.

The Mojo release 3.15 released in March 2021 was the last mojo release level where support was available for:

  • Internet Explorer – IE11

Please make a note of these dates to ensure that, where necessary, your Microsoft products have all been updated in good time.
